out of character [ooc] rules
1. bullying/harassment of any kind will not be permitted under ANY circumstances and will result in an account ban. just treat people the way you expect to be treated.2. mini-modding of any kind is not permitted on halcyon days. mini-modding can be defined as attempting to perform the duties of site staff. this means no reprimanding, attempting to deal out consequences, etc. we ask that rule breaks are instead reported so that staff may handle them appropriately.
3. theft is strictly prohibited. do not claim art, writing, or any other piece of material that does not belong to you as your own. doing so can result in a permanent site ban.
4. in character [ic] conflict between members is not to be taken out of character [ooc], or vice-versa.
5. we ask that you do not directly advertise other roleplaying sites here. advertising your own art sites, etc is okay, though.
6. we also ask that clique-like behavior is avoided, to make everyone feel a part of the fun!
7. most of all, have fun!
in character [ic] rules
1. god-modding of any kind is not permitted. this means that you cannot, under any circumstances, play another roleplayer's character without their express permission. only they may make decisions for their characters.2. power-playing is also not permitted to retain the fairness and enjoyability of roleplay here on halcyon days. power-playing is placing what is considered too much power in a character. try to retain fairness- your character can not realistically dodge every attack being aimed at them. nor can they fly, or disintegrate other characters with their minds. trust me, i've seen this in other places.
3. species rules are not in place, besides drawing too close to power-playing.
4. impersonating high ranks is impermissible.
5. sexual content is not permitted- we ask that you fade out/skip these scenes if they are deemed absolutely necessary.
permitted powers & power-play specifics
- any powers are allowed as long as they are possible for other characters to avoid and/or combat.- powers that allow one character to control another's must be agreed upon by both parties prior to their use.
- power-playing outside of these terms is considered cheating and can lead to ooc consequences.
rules are subject to change as the site grows, so check back often!
